Win 95/98 Mail and News Configuration
The following sections detail setup instructions for
Netscape 3.n, Netscape 4.n,
and Eudora.
Setting up Netscape 3.n for
Internet Mail and News.
Note: Information enclosed in [ ]'s needs to be supplied
by you.
- Open the 'Options' menu.
- Select Mail & News Preferences.
- Click on the 'Servers' tab on the new window.
- Enter the following information:
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: mail.innevi.com
- Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: mail.innevi.com
- POP3 Username: [your login username]
- Mail Directory: Leave as default
- News (NNTP) Server: news.innevi.com
- News (RC) Directory: Leave as default
- Click on the 'Identity' tab at the top of the window.
- Enter the following information:
- Your Name: [Your Real Name]
- Your E-mail: [username]@innevi.com
- Reply to Address: [your e-mail address]
- Click on the 'OK' button at the bottom of the window. You should now
be able to access mail and news through the 'Window' menu.
Setting up Netscape 4.+ for
Internet Mail and News.
Note: Information enclosed in [ ]'s needs to be supplied
by you.
- Open the 'Edit' menu.
- Select Preferences.
- Click on the '+' next to 'Mail&Groups' so the sub-categories are visible.
- Select 'Identity' from below Mail&Groups.
- Enter the following information:
- Your Name: [Your Real Name]
- E-mail Address: [your username]@innevi.com
- Reply to Address: [Your e-mail address]
- Select 'Mail Server' from below Mail&Groups.
- Enter the following information:
- Mail server user name: [your login username]
- Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.innevi.com
- Incoming mail server: mail.innevi.com
- Select Groups Server from below Mail&Groups
- Enter the following information:
- Discussion groups (news) server: news.innevi.com
- Click on the 'OK' button on the bottom of the window.
- You should now be able to access your mail and News Discussion groups
through the Communicator Menu.
Setting up Eudora for Internet
Mail.
Note: Information enclosed in [ ]'s needs to be supplied
by you.
- Open the 'Tools' Menu.
- Select 'Options'
- Select 'Getting Started' from the sidebar of the pop-up window.
- Set the following information:
- Pop account: [your username]@innevi.com
- Real Name: [your real name]
- Return Address: [your e-mail address]
- Select 'Personal Info' from the sidebar.
- Make sure the following information is set:
- Pop account: [your username]@innevi.com
- Real Name: [your real name]
- Return Address: [your e-mail address]
- Dial-up Username: [your login username]
- Select 'Hosts' from the sidebar.
- Make sure the following information is set:
- Pop Account: [your username]@innevi.com
- SMTP: mail.innevi.com
- Click on the 'OK' button at the bottom of the window.
- You should now be able to check and send mail.
